WHITE and handcrafted mattresses

WHITE mattresses are made in Rhodes, Greece. Our craftspeople bring together carefully selected materials and construction techniques, with attention to everything from the internal layers to the finishing details.

It means skilled craftspeople take an active role in making each mattress and caring for its details. Construction methods vary by model. In our fully handmade designs, building and securing the mattress layer by layer is central to how it is made.

In handcrafted WHITE mattresses, the craftsperson ties the layers together with a needle and hemp thread instead of gluing them. Tying holds the materials in place while preserving their elasticity, giving the overall construction its characteristic feel.

We select fine natural materials such as wool, cotton, horsehair, hemp and natural latex, depending on the model. They differ substantially from petroleum-based materials such as polyester and polyurethane foam, which are found in many mass-produced mattresses with glued layers.

Carefully chosen materials and handcrafted construction, designed for a distinctive sense of comfort and a longer lifespan.

Find your mattress, the way you sleep

Side, back or front? Your usual sleeping position is a useful starting point when choosing a mattress.
Combine it with your body type and the feel you find comfortable.

Start with your usual sleeping position, body type and preferred feel. When trying a mattress, lie in the position you normally sleep in and notice how easily you can turn. Our team can help you compare the options within the WHITE collection.

Firmness describes how a mattress feels; it is only one part of the decision. Try different models to find a balance of comfort and support that feels right for you, rather than choosing on the basis of a soft or firm label alone.

If you sleep on your side, look for a mattress that combines support with enough give around the shoulders and hips. A very firm feel can make it harder to get comfortable.

Within the WHITE collection, we suggest starting your trial with Telendos and its medium-to-soft feel. Skandili, with its firmer feel, is not our first suggestion for those who mainly sleep on their side and want more give at the shoulder.

The quality of a mattress and how well it suits you are two different things. That is why we recommend trying it in your usual position before you decide.

To complete your trial, discover the Chamomilo body pillow, made with a blend of merino wool and chamomile fibres. Hug it or place it between your knees, and notice whether it helps you feel more comfortable on your side.

If you sleep on your back, start by trying a mattress with a medium-to-firm feel. Notice how your lower back and hips feel, and whether you can relax without constantly looking for a different position.

At WHITE, we suggest discovering Skandili, with its firm feel and handcrafted construction, and Seskli, with the DreamBalance™ spring system. Other options worth trying include Strongilli and Sikinos.

Try them on your back, with a suitable pillow, and compare how each construction feels for your body.

If you sleep on your front, pay particular attention to how much the mattress gives beneath your hips. Look for a feel that lets you lie comfortably without sinking too far into the centre of the bed.

Within the WHITE collection, we suggest comparing Pserimos, Sikinos and Antimilos. They are different constructions, so the choice between them depends on your body type and the feel you prefer.

When trying them, use a pillow similar to the one you normally sleep with: comfort comes from the overall combination.

For couples with a significant difference in body weight, we recommend Seskli and Antimilos, featuring the DreamBalance™ spring system, available in Greece exclusively from WHITE.

What sets it apart is its two micro-springs and the gap between them. The first responds to body weight initially. The second engages only when additional support is needed, as compression increases.

This staged action allows the system to respond differently to each person’s load, balancing out the difference in weight in terms of the support provided.

Materials and mattress construction

The composition varies by model. The collection includes materials such as natural latex, wool, cotton, horsehair and coconut fibre, alongside different spring systems and foams. Each product description explains the construction of that particular mattress.

Each model has its own composition and feel. Material details for one collection or design do not automatically apply to every WHITE mattress. Check the individual product specifications to understand exactly what is inside the model you are considering.

Natural latex is elastic and responds to the body’s movements. In models that include it, it contributes to responsive comfort, resilience and breathability. The overall feel still depends on how all the layers work together.

These natural materials serve different purposes. Horsehair supports airflow, while coconut fibre adds structure and stability. They feature in selected WHITE models, according to the composition and intended feel of each design.

DreamBalance™ uses a dual spring system that works in stages. The first spring responds to pressure; when it reaches its compression limit, the second engages to provide additional support. This allows the system to respond progressively to the load placed on it.

Octaspring® is a foam spring technology with a honeycomb structure, designed to respond to movement and allow air to circulate through it. WHITE uses this technology in selected mattresses, including Marathos.

FeatherPure™ is an advanced synthetic fibre designed to recreate the softness and insulating warmth of natural goose down. It offers a plush, down-like feel as a cruelty-free alternative, and is available in the WHITE collection as the FeatherPure™ topper.

Ordering, delivery and care

Yes. WHITE offers custom mattress sizes for homes and commercial spaces. Share the internal measurements of your bed base and any requirements for the space, and we will confirm the available construction options and a suitable model.

Yes. WHITE ships throughout Greece and worldwide. To discuss your delivery, let us know the product you are interested in, along with your country, city and postcode.

Timing depends on the model, any custom sizes or specifications, and the destination. Ask for a delivery estimate and shipping quote for your particular order. For international shipments, also check what is included in the delivery service.

Use a suitable mattress protector and air your mattress regularly. Follow the care instructions for your specific model, including any guidance on cleaning, rotating or turning it. Do not assume that every mattress is designed to be slept on both sides.

First check whether the cover is removable and suitable for washing. Instructions vary by model and fabric. Follow the care label, and make sure the cover is completely dry before putting it back on the mattress.

WHITE mattresses carry a warranty covering manufacturing defects and material faults, with terms and duration depending on the model. Read the applicable warranty and returns policy before buying. For bespoke orders, ask about the relevant conditions before confirming your specifications.

The main terms are:

  • Return shipping costs are paid by the customer and depend on your postcode and the weight of the items.
  • Products must be returned in the condition in which they were delivered, with the original receipt or invoice.
  • The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made or personalised products made to the customer’s specifications.
  • Returned items are collected only from the address you provide in writing.
  • The process begins once you complete the withdrawal form and the return is approved.
  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the product in its original, undamaged condition, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
  • If a product is damaged, worn or has lost value through unnecessary handling, the corresponding amount may be deducted from the refund.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Thanks to the gap between its two micro-springs, additional support engages only when the person lying on the mattress needs it. This way, the same system responds to different loads through staged action.

For hospitality projects, WHITE recommends Seskli and Antimilos with DreamBalance™, selecting the overall combination of mattress, base and topper according to the needs of each hotel.

After Sales Support

All White Hellenic Premium Mattresses come with an official quality warranty that covers manufacturing defects and material issues. The warranty period varies depending on the mattress model and materials used, ensuring your investment is protected.

Return shipping costs are the customer’s sole responsibility. Shipping fees depend on your area’s postal code and the weight of the returned goods.

The Returns are accepted only if the products are in the same condition as when received and are accompanied by the original receipt or retail invoice. The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for custom-made or personalized products tailored to the consumer’s specifications.

Returned products will only be collected from the address you have provided in writing.

Within 14 days of receiving the returned products in their original, undamaged condition, White Mattress will issue a refund using the same payment method as the original purchase (unless otherwise agreed). The refund process begins after you complete the withdrawal form and the return is approved by our company.

If the returned product is damaged, worn, or its value is reduced due to unnecessary handling by the customer, White Mattress will assess the damage and deduct the corresponding amount from the refund.

In addition to the rights set forth in this return policy, all legal consumer rights under applicable laws concerning product sales and warranties remain fully effective.
